About Department
Chemistry Department, established since the opening of college, is a leading department of our college in the field of research. Six major research projects have been completed in this department funded by different funding agencies viz; CSIR, New Delhi, DBT, New Delhi, UGC, New Delhi and CST, Uttar Pradesh. Five students are doing research under different schemes for their Ph.D degree and two have submitted their thesis.
The theory and practical classes are well managed in this department. There is a good interaction between the teachers and the students as a result of it student have gained position in the university examinations as well as in other competitive exams like medical and engineering.
The under graduate department and the post graduate department has library facilities separately. Many students of post-graduate department have qualified the NET/SLET/GATE examinations. Some of the students are presently engaged in research and academic activities in reputed institute like IITs and abroad also. Most of the faculty members have attended refreshers courses, orientation courses and seminars from time to time.
Faculty members have published their research work in different reputed journals in India and abroad like, J. Chem. Society, Perkin Transaction, Medicinal Chemistry, Indian J. Chemistry. Acta Pharmacetica, Electrochimica Acta, J. Infectious Disease, Biochemistry, Bull. Pol. Acad. Sci., Int. J. Peptide Protein Res., Bull. Chim. Farmaceutico, Bull. Of Chemical Society of Japan, Journal of Collid and Interface Science, Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Journal of Membrane Science, Chemical Phys. Letters, of Scientific and Industrial Research, Indian Journal of Chemical Technology, J. Colloid and surface: Biointerfaces, etc.
